HOMESKILLET: The Activist Peace
Have you ever walked or driven by a homeless person and felt awkward or ambivalent? You want to give, to help, but also maybe feeling like there's no point? Really, what's some spare change going to do for this person? And isn't this enabling them, encouraging them to keep asking for money instead of being more proactive with their own lives? Or maybe you've given some food, a blanket or some other item, thinking at least it will be useful. There are so many people on the streets, and there are organizations out there doing their part, and yet it doesn't seem to get better. "What difference can my small efforts make?"
